Change of software implementation on University time servers
Over the next few weeks, we'll be making changes to several of the University Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers.
Change to outgoing email configuration on Tuesday 14 August
UIS plans to make a change to outgoing email between 08:00 and 09:00 on Tuesday 14 August. You shouldn't notice any change to your email service, but if you experience any problems please contact the Service Desk.
Exchange Online for new students/staff – information for IT staff
In preparation for the 2018/9 academical year, from Monday 2 July 2018 all new undergraduate and postgraduate students joining the University will be issued with Exchange Online email accounts instead of Hermes email accounts.
Leaving Cambridge? Your Microsoft account will soon be closed – move it or lose it!
If you will be leaving Cambridge at the end of this term, you need to take action now so that you won’t lose access to the data associated with your University of Cambridge Microsoft Account. This includes Office 365 apps, OneDrive and Exchange Online email.
University Dropbox Business price increase
The cost of a University Dropbox Business account has increased to £75 per year (excluding VAT), but this is still 50% less than consumer prices.

You can now reset your UIS Password using a token sent via email or text message.
Changes to the University’s Adobe software licensing agreement
The University’s 3-year fixed-price licensing agreement with Adobe ended on 8 March 2018. Like many other software providers, Adobe is moving to an annual subscription model.
Sharing IT merger experiences with the University of Cologne
