TechLink Community: Introducing A New Release MATLAB Parallel Server

A seminar for those who analyse large volumes of data.  The MATLAB team will discuss a range of workflows available to scale MATLAB applications with minimal changes to your MATLAB code and without needing to learn any shell or scheduler programming syntax.

Topics include:

  • What’s new in parallel and distributed computing
  • Accelerating MATLAB applications with Nvidia GPUs
  • Task parallel and Data parallel workflows
  • Processing big data from Windows, Mac, or Linux – with or without Hadoop and Spark

All University members now have access to Google G Suite@Cambridge

UIS enrolled all members of the University in our Google G Suite account, known as G Suite@Cambridge, on 2 May.

Upgrade Windows 7 machines before the operating system reaches end of life on 14 January 2020

Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 7 on 14 January 2020. The good news is that you may be entitled to a free upgrade to Windows 10, if your institution is participating in the University's EES agreement.
