University Information Services

Raven authentication is used to provide access to many electronic journals and databases. If you are denied access to a journal or database that is Raven authenticated, first check that the problem is not with your Raven account.

First, double-check that you are entering your password correctly. If in doubt, you can try getting a new password by following the instructions in How do I get a password for Raven?. If this still doesn't help then please consult the Service Desk.

Not everyone with a Raven account can access every journal or database. For library electronic resources (ejournals, ebooks, online databases etc.) you can check if you are eligible using the web page at the eresources test page.

  • For resources managed elsewhere in the University, contact whoever manages them.

For other enquiries and help with using ejournals, please contact the ejournals Helpdesk at ejournals@lib.cam.ac.uk.
