This information is aimed at webmasters and website owners.
University Information Services provides a University-wide web search service. It allows users to search for information on over 1000+ websites operated by the University. The service can also be used to search within individual sites. Authenticated users can view search results including pages that are for University-access only.
The interface (http://search.cam.ac.uk/) searches University web servers. For logged-in users authenticated by the University single sign-on (SSO), it also searches pages restricted by IP address to clients on the University Network (which may also be available by SSO authentication from outside), the University Lookup service.
