How do I access it?
Power Apps: https://make.powerapps.com/
You can buy a Microsoft 365 bolt-on for the Power Apps from Phoenix Software. Submit a service request for Power apps
Power Automate: https://make.powerautomate.com/
For Premium connectors you will need to purchase a standalone license via Phoenix software. Find out more about the different types of Power Automate licenses from Microsoft.
Power BI: https://app.powerbi.com/
Mobile app: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9NBLGGGZLXN1?culture=en-gb&country=gb&rtc=1&hl=en-gb&gl=GB
You need a Power Bi Pro licence to publish content to an app workspace and share reports. Central staff members can order from Phoenix by completing a service request for Power apps. Colleges and external institutions need to buy the licenses directly from Phoenix by contacting James-Honnor@phoenixs.co.uk or Cheryl-Lapham@phoenixs.co.uk. Contact the Service Desk to have these applied to the central University tenancy.
If you are planning to create apps or workflows for your team or institution, you should request that a new environment be created. Otherwise everything will be saved to the default 'University of Cambridge' environment which everyone can access. Read more about the types of environment from Microsoft. A Production environment will be created by default unless you specify otherwise in the request form. Complete a Service Request to request a new Power Environment.
We also recommend the use of service accounts for apps and flows that are used for important processes, to prevent loss of access when a user leaves. Service accounts can be created via Toolkit but you will need to request licenses for the account.
