Departments looking to join Booker, the University's room booking system, should complete the new 'Room Booking System - Department Access' form via the UIS ticketing system, Halo.

Once completed the UIS Room Booking team will create the department within Booker and assign Department Managers access to complete the additional onboarding steps.

  1. Go to the Room Booking page in Halo
     
  2. If prompted, sign in with your University IT account and two-factor authentication code.

     

  3. Once logged in, select "Request Access for your department"

     

  4. Start completing the form by selecting "Add + under the 'Department Name(s) field

     

  5. Please enter as much information as to where your department sits. For example, "the School of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Biology, Department of Genetics" under 'The name of the official Division, Department, School, College the department belongs to at the University' field. 

     

  6. Add the name, address and opening times of the new department.  
     
  7. Select "Save"
     
  8. If requesting the onboarding of multiple departments, please follow steps 4-7 to register any further departments. 
     
  9. Under the Lead Department Manager(s) field, select "Add+", to register who will become the department manager(s) for the new departments.

     

  10. Enter each user's CRSid, e-mail address and full name and select "Save" once complete.

     

  11. Repeat steps 9-10, to register any additional Department Managers. 
     
  12. Under Additional Information, enter any information that would support the request. 
     
  13. Once the form is complete, select "Submit" to save the request and notify the Room Booking System team of the request.
