  1. Make sure you have signed out of your Microsoft account on other desktop applications, such as Microsoft Teams, Office applications and other browser windows before you proceed.

  2. In 'Start by getting the app', select 'I want to use a different authenticator app'.

  3. Remain on 'Set up your account' while you set up Twilio Authy on your device.

  4. Download Twilio Authy

  5. Select ‘configure app without notifications’.

  6. Copy the secret key.

  7. Launch Authy. Select the + sign.

  8. Paste the code into the box and select 'Add Account'.

  9. You can then:
    • Enter an account name
    • Scroll down and choose ‘Microsoft’ from the list
    • Make sure the Token length is set to 6-digit
    • Save

  10. Now you'll be invited to add phone verification. You don't need to set this up immediately, but we would recommend doing this in case you lose access to the app.

  11. Select 'Finished'.

Signing into Teams

The next time you use the Teams desktop app, make sure you're signed in. Look out for a thin notification banner at the top of the application window that asks you to sign in.
