1TB quota for new SharePoint sites from 19 February

All new SharePoint Online sites, included with the University's Microsoft Office 365 offering, will have a storage quota of 1TB from 19 February 2024. This forms part of our storage review following Microsoft's announcement to limit the amount of data that can be stored on their cloud storage service.

Recordings made on Microsoft Stream before 4 January 2021 must be migrated by 29 February

Microsoft is replacing its original version of Stream, which it refers to as 'Stream (Classic)', with Microsoft Stream (on SharePoint), where videos are saved to SharePoint by default.

Refresh your eduroam wifi set-up by 31 January

If you use the University’s eduroam wifi service, you will need to refresh the eduroam set-up on all of your devices by 31 January 2024 to ensure your connection to eduroam continues uninterrupted.

We plan to decommission DS-Filestore on 1 April 2024. Users will not be able to access data in DS-Filestore after this date and will need to transfer any files they wish to keep to one of our alternative services.

We will retire the ppsw.cam.ac.uk SMTP relay on 30 June 2025. After this date, you will need to use the SMTP.cam.ac.uk outbound email.
