Don't get locked out

Please ensure you have set up self-service password recovery and set up more than one second factor for multi-factor authentication (MFA) to avoid any difficulties with account access during the closure.
 

Major IT incidents

In the event of a major IT incident, the UIS crisis management team will work within the framework of the University Emergency Management Plan to decide if intervention is required before 2 January. If you believe an IT failure requires intervention, please contact University Security to escalate to the University Silver Team.

PoP switches: scheduled firmware updates, 16–27 Sept

UIS will be applying firmware updates to all point-of-presence (PoP) switches before the start of Michaelmas Term 2024. There will be 10 to 15 minutes downtime at 03:00 on the day of the upgrade.

UIS VPN and Managed VPN service certificate update
