What is the University timetable?

The University timetable application allows Departments and Institutions to publish a complex timetable that is accessible and personalised to each individual student and lecturer.

Who can use it

All staff and students can access the timetable. Note that not all courses use the timetable to provide scheduling information.

The University offers the service to University Departments and Institutions.

What are the benefits?

  • create a personal calendar featuring parts of the timetable that are relevant to you
  • subscribe to an ical feed to add the events to a calendar app on your device
  • your personal calendar and ical feed will be updated if events are updated in the timetable
  • contains links to scheduling information for courses that aren't included in the timetable.

How to get the University timetable

Students and staff can access the timetable application at www.timetable.cam.ac.uk. You will need your University account username and password to access the timetable. New students will receive an email from the Student Registry in late August with instructions on how to set up their University accounts. The schedule for Michaelmas Term is usually available at the end of September.

Staff use a separate administrative interface to enter and amend data. Contact the Timetable Course Administration team to request access to the administrative system.
