Signing in to the Optime Booker App
1. When you first sign in to the Optime App, you'll be asked to Set Domain.
Enter "booker.eventmapsolutions.com". The https:// will automatically appear.
2. Sign in with your CRSid and University password (formerly called Raven).
5. Complete the two-factor authentication process.
Making a booking
1. When you sign in, you're taken to the calendar home screen. You can change this to Booker home page if you would prefer.
2. To make a booking, select the "Booker" tab located in the bottom toolbar.
3. The Booker home screen shows a list of upcoming bookings (if applicable) and favourite rooms (if previously selected).
4. To make a booking, tap the "Find A Room" button.
5. Search for a room either "Near My Current Location" or "Near My Building".
Tip:
For the "Near My Current Location" feature to work, you must have Location Services enabled and, be within a 3-mile radius of Cambridge.
For the "Near My Building" feature to work, you must configure your default building through their Booker desktop sign in. This is under the "Manage Account" settings.
6. Select a date or date range for the booking using the calendar. To schedule a booking in advance, use the arrow keys as indicated, then tap "Next".
7. Select the required "Start Time" and "End Time", then tap "Next".
8. The "Any specific room type required?" screen allows you to specify your preferred room type for the booking. Select each option required, then tap "Next".
9. In the "How many attendees?" window, select the desired number of attendees. Tap "Search" once complete.
10. You'll see a list of rooms that match your requirements. Scroll through the list and select the relevant "Book" button.
11. Proceed to complete the Booking form; fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
12. Once complete tap "Make Booking" to confirm the booking request. Tap "Cancel". to cancel the request and return to the Booker home page.
Changing the default landing screen
1. You can change the default landing page by tapping the "Profile" tab on the bottom toolbar.
2. To change the default landing page, tap "Change Landing Page". Then tap "Bookings" and "Confirm". The Booking page will be become your home screen as the default landing page instead of the User's Calendar.
Changing your password
1.. You can change the default landing page by tapping the "Profile" tab on the bottom toolbar.
2. Tap "Change Password". On the Change Password page, enter your "Current Password" then your "New Password". Confirm the new password by re-entering it under the "Confirm New Password" field. Tap "Submit" to finalise the change.
Viewing notifications
Notifications for bookings and other updates can be viewed by selecting the "Notifications" tab on the bottom toolbar.
Changing the calendar view
Selecting the hamburger menu under the "Calendar" tab, allows users to set their default view. You can choose from:
- day
- week
- work week
- month
- agenda
