1. Synchronise your ACN password to be the same as your Raven password

If you've worked in the University before 

Open and change your password. Doing this will synchronise your ACN password to Raven and activate your new permissions. 

If you can’t remember your current password, use the self-service password recovery option if it’s set up, or contact the Service Desk at or (01223) 332999.

If you're new to the University

You will get a Raven registration code and CRSid, which you can find at

2. Log in to an ACN computer using your CRSid and new password


Password: <new password set by user> 

After you log in for the first time, you do not need to include ‘INTERNAL\’ in the username. 

Open up Windows Explorer to confirm that you can see the drives you've requested. 

If you've been given a laptop to work from home, you must log into it once while it is attached to the ACN via cable, to set up your profile.

3. Connect your printer

4. Set up Outlook 

Your Microsoft Exchange account which includes Outlook can take up to 3 hours to activate, although it's usually quicker. 

Find out if your Microsoft account is active:

  1. Log in to
  2. Go to Outlook and check if you can read your email.

Once, it's active, you can set up Outlook in your ACN account or in remote access.

  1. Open Outlook and your details should appear.
  2. Ignore the first password request.
  3. Navigate through until you see the University of Cambridge login box. 
  4. Change the username to (using your CRSid) 
  5. Use your Raven password.
