This page explains how to wipe a Dell University Managed Desktop (UMD) running Windows so that it's ready to be pre-provisioned for a new user.

How to wipe a University Managed Desktop (UMD)

1. Sign into the Intune admin centre at https://intune.microsoft.com.

2. Go to "Devices"  then "All devices" and search for the relevant device.
 

3. Select "Fresh Start".
 

4. Select "Yes".

 

5. The device status will change to ‘Pending’ for cleaning the device. 
 
 Searching the device or refreshing the page will result in "Device not found". This is expected.

 

6. If connected to the internet, the device will eventually reset.

When the sign-in screen is presented, do not sign in.
