What is a staff profile?

A staff profile is a page template in Drupal that you can use to list professional information about academic staff. This includes:

  • a photo
  • a short biography
  • research interests
  • key publications
  • contact details

How to create a staff profile

Hover over 'Content' then 'Add Content'.

Select 'Staff Profile'.

Add the academic's details as prompted by the form fields:

  • name
  • title (the field is called honorific in Drupal)
  • CRSid
  • email address
  • job titles
  • links to websites
  • a photo

Go to 'Tabbed Content' in the left-hand side navigation to add additional information including:

  • biography
  • key publications
  • research interest
  • teaching
  • research supervisions
  • other professional activities

To assign a person to a specific group, select 'Related Items' tab in the left navigation.

Select the appropriate group, for example 'Distinguished Associates' and save.

You may need to publish your new profile page

You can also set up permissions for a user to edit their profile.
