The Blue AD Toolkit gives local administration access to institutions included in the Blue active directory. This allows local administrators to create groups and manage email.
Who can use the Blue AD Toolkit?
We've created Lookup groups for each institution called Toolkit Management Group and populated them with the members of your existing Editors group.
These new groups are self-managing, so you can add/remove your own members.
What can we do with it?
Your Toolkit Management Group members have full administrative access to the all the Toolkit's functionality, allowing them to:
- Manage your institutional Blue AD groups, via the Groups tab
- Create distribution lists with email addresses
- Create shared mailboxes in Exchange Online.
How do I access it?
Log in at https://toolkit.blue.cam.ac.uk
The toolkit is currently only available while you are connected via the University Data Network (UDN) or, if you're working away from the University, via the VPN service. Future releases will remove this restriction.
