IT Help and Support

University Information Services

We sent an email on 24 April saying that we planned to move one of the distribution routers that covers the Downing site on 15 May. Due to a clash with an exam, we have rescheduled this work to 17 June.

This is a managed move to a more suitable location.

What will happen?

Work will begin at 09:30. We anticipate that full service will be resumed within around 4 hours.

Who will be affected?

We do not expect any downtime, but resilience will be reduced until the work is completed. IT officers in the following institutions should be aware of this work in case they do experience any issues:

  • Department of Psychology
  • Downing College
  • Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience
  • Department of Earth Sciences
  • Department of Plant Sciences
  • Language Centre
  • Department of Pathology
  • Department of Archaelogy
  • Department of Genetics
  • Security Office
  • Craik Marshall building
  • Judge Business School
  • Emmanuel College
  • Estates Management
  • Sidney Sussex College
  • Corpus Christi College
  • Cambridge Conservation Initiative
