IT Help and Support

University Information Services

30 May 2023

Moodle, the University's virtual learning environment, will be upgraded to version 4.1 in July. There will be a single day's downtime for the Moodle being updated, with users unable to access Moodle and Panopto, the lecture capture service.

The upgrade will take place on the following dates:

  • Main Moodle and Course History Moodle - Tuesday 18 July
  • Assessment Moodle and Institute of Continuing Education Moodle - Thursday 27 July

Upgrading to version 4.1 will introduce improvements and new features, increase security, reduce vulnerabilities and ensure compatibility with third-party and Moodle community plug-ins.

Further details will be added to the Moodle website.
