The annual archive of Panopto lecture capture content is scheduled for 4 September. Last year’s archive will be permanently deleted on 31 August. Content created between 1 September and 4 September will remain live and not be archived.

Action required by 28 August to retain archived content

Content owners can restore recordings from last year’s archive for reuse with an active cohort or download the recording as an MP4 file and store it in a personal storage drive, such as OneDrive. They will need to do so before 28 August, as restoration can take up to 48 hours.

View the archive process and retention policy.

Key dates

  • 28 August 2023 – last date to restore content from the current archive.

  • 4 September 2023 – live content created on or before 31 August 2023 will be archived overnight. Sessions can be retrieved for up to one year before being permanently deleted.
