You can print, copy and scan using the DS-Print service on the desktops in MCS computer rooms in Colleges and Departments. You can also print from your own device, either on or away from the University network, but you will need to install DS-Print software first. You pay for printing through credits either on your Common Balance or Local Balance. Many Colleges and Departments use the University-wide Common Balance, while some operate their own Local Balance scheme, which may include some free credits. If high-volume reprographics are needed contact our Printroom.

Local Balance credits

Ask your local IT staff about topping up your Local Balance credits. You can check your balance online via the My DS-Print portal.

Common Balance credits

You can top-up your Common Balance online using the My DS-Print portal, or with cash at some participating Colleges and Departments. The minimum top-up is £1, which buys about 20 black and white A4 sheets of printing or copying.
