This programme benefits from the Blended Learning approach. Instructor Led training is combined with self study which helps you combine work and study.
Course | Sessions* half day | Recommended Self Study (depending on experience) |
Introduction to Networks | 14 | Approx. 4 hours |
Routing and Switching Essentials | 14 | Approx. 4 hours |
Scaling Networks | 12 | Approx. 4 hours |
Connecting Networks | 12 | Approx 4 hours |
* All sessions are instructor led, towards the end of each course we include a revision session and time to prepare for the practical and theoretical assessments.
Each session is a comprehensive mix of instructor led tuition, hands on practical labs in the classroom and access to the online curriculum and assessment. The session starts with a presentation and then you have the opportunity to use the live or simulated lab equipment to practice curriculum content. Practical work is a major part of the course and requires regular attendance and practice.
There is a free downloadable simulation package to enable students to practice router and switch configuration without the need to purchase their own equipment when doing self-study.
Online Curriculum
All learning material is available through Interactive, Web-based content with diverse multimedia elements and links to background information.
Hands-on labs
There is a heavy emphasis on practical activities using live lab equipment (routers, switches) in order to gain the practical knowledge needed in the industry.
NetLab
To provide you with an enhanced learning experience and to supplement the practical labs we have invested in negotiating access to an online network laboratory, NetLAb. It is a remote learning environment providing information technology training allowing students on CCNA to access live routers and switches to practice lab exercises remotely from work or home, anytime.
