Unix support

Unix Support provide support for Unix system administrators within the University and its related institutions in the form of advice and help (by e-mail or visit). We also provide certain network services, courses, online documentation and vendor contact.

System Administrators should contact their Relationship manager in the first instance.

If your machine has crashed, your data has gone missing and your dumps are corrupted, don't panic; you aren't alone.

The Panopto Lecture Capture Cloud service will be undergoing maintenance on Thursday 8 October 2020 from 00:00 (midnight tonight) and will be unavailable for up to 3 hours.

GBN network joins up to plant protection

The University's data network, the Granta Backbone Network (GBN), has joined up to the plant protection provider LinesearchBeforeUDig. This will add an extra level of protection to our essential core infrastructure at this critical time for the University.
