How to Access LinkedIn Learning

The use of LinkedIn Learning is available free of charge for all

  • University and College IT Staff (TechLink members)
  • UIS Staff Members
  • A fixed and nominated number of accounts for Evaluation purposes to identify any requirements to extend the service more widely within the University subject to funding

Due to the successful pilot from June 2018-2019 undertaken by UIS Staff and TechLinks the subscription has been renewed until July 2020 for those who are eligible above.


University and College IT staff

  1. Request access using this form, please ensure your email as follow <CRSID> Please note that if is not your primary email addresses you can set a forwarding address for using Lookup
  2. Once you've been granted access, the process is the same as for UIS Staff, detailed below.

Evaluation Accounts

  1. Evaluation accounts can be requested by key stakeholders in a department
  2. Please email the UIS Service Desk, applications will be considered based on the departmental requirements and amount of evaluation licences required
  3. If access has been granted, follow the steps under Access to LinkedIn Learning below

University Information Services (UIS) staff

Members of the UIS Members Lookup group in July 2018 will have been granted access to LinkedIn Learning.

If you are a new starter thereafter and do not have access please request access by using this form.

Once access is granted follow the steps below under Accessing LinkedIn Learning.

Accessing LinkedIn Learning

Before You Get Started - Preliminary Action

Please check that your @cam redirect is set within lookup to your primary University Email Address by following the steps below.

  • Go to (login in if not already logged in via Raven)
  • Click the link Your Page (top right handside of the screen – first link of four under the You are logged in as… title)
  • Click the Edit Button
  • Scroll down until you reach @cam delivery address
  • If your primary email address is not listed click onto the Add button if it is continue to First time Use below.
  • Under Value choose Other and enter your primary email address e.g.
  • Click Save

First time use

1. An email will be sent to your <crsid> email address:

  • Click on the Get started now button to activate your account

2. You will be asked to agree to share your Raven ID information with Linkedin Learning. If you are not already logged in to your Raven ID you will be prompted to log in first.

  • Click Confirm


3. You will then be prompted personalise your learning experience


  • Click Sounds good

4. Next you will be asked What areas you are most interested in,  this is to enable Linkedin Learning to recommend relevant content:


  • Choose either Business, Creative or Technology to take you to a your home page with suggested content OR
  • Choose I'm not sure yet  and a list of skills will appear that you can select
  • Once you have made your selection choose Continue

5. You will then be taken to the Linkedin Learning homepage and will see a list of recommended content for you.


You are now all set up and ready to use Linkedin Learning!

Accessing after the first time

  1. Visit Linkedin Learning via this link

  2. If you are not already authenticated via Raven, use your Raven ID and password to login


  • Within your web browser, do a search for LinkedIn Learning Sign in
  • Click on the Sign In link
  • If you are not already authenticated via Raven, choose the option to Sign in with your organization account
  • Type in your <crsid> e.g.
  • Click Continue
  • At the Raven prompt, enter your Raven User ID and your Raven password
  • Click Login
