The following instructions explain how to move from one Apple Management server to another. You should only use them if we have directed you to this page.
If you are interested in Apple device management generally, please see managing Apple devices within the University.
To migrate to the new Apple Management Server, you will need to:
1. Open System Preferences and browse to the Profiles section.
2. Highlight the MDM Profile and select the remove icon (-) at the bottom of that screen and then select Remove to remove the existing MDM profile (entering your administrator details if prompted to).
3. Select the following link or open your browser and copy and paste in: https://uniofcam.jamfcloud.com/enrol.
You may be prompted to Sign in to your University of Cambridge Microsoft account, followed by a multi-factor authentication prompt if you haven't already signed in.
4. Clear the Assign to User box if it is populated and leave the site drop-down box showing None, then select Enroll.
5. On the next page, select Continue, and then Allow, to download the required certificate.
6. Switch back to the Profiles section in System Preferences that you had open before, and you will see a new entry for CA Certificate. Highlight the certificate and click Install in the top-right corner and then Install again at the pop-up dialogue box.
7. Once the certificate is installed, return to your browser and select Continue and then Allow on the following page. This will now download the new mobile device management (MDM) profile.
8. Once downloaded, return to the Profiles section in System Preferences. Click to highlight the new MDM Profile and then select Install in the top-right corner and Install again on the pop-up dialogue box. Enter your administrator credentials, if prompted, and select Enrol.
9. Close System Preferences, close your browser and restart your machine.
