Download and install

Download Download and install McAfee antivirus software for Mac.

 

Turn on threat prevention

After installation, restart your Mac.

Open McAfee Endpoint Security for Mac via Launchpad or your Applications folder.

Select Preferences from the application's menu.

In the pop-up window, choose the General tab and click on the padlock.

When prompted, enter your Mac username and password to make changes.

Set Threat Prevention to On.

When prompted to approve the System Extension signed by McAfee, click OK.

Open System Preferences via the Launchpad or your Applications folder, and choose Security & Privacy.

Click Allow if you see the message "System software from developer McAfee, Inc was blocked from loading".

If you wish to uninstall McAfee software because you're experiencing problems or want to perform a fresh reinstallation, download and run this package.
