Cisco CCNA at Cambridge

The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) programme teaches network technology and is predominately practical based, covering protocols and theory at deeper levels reflective of university practices.

Cisco is one of many types of hardware used within the university, however it is becoming more predominant. There is a growing requirement for University IT Supporters to acquire the skills to maintain these systems. Consequently the University Computing Service has become a Cisco Networking Academy to provide a cost effective central service to assist institutions and their IT Supporters when managing their networking infrastructure. See Benefits for more information.

Participants learn the basics of routing, switching, and advanced technologies to prepare for CCNA certification and acquire the skills required to provide a robust and secure network in their institutions.

See Course Structure for more information.

CCNA is comprised of four modules:

  • Introduction to Networks
  • Routing and Switching Essentials
  • Scaling Networks
  • Connecting Networks

The instructors supporting you through the programme are Cisco Networking Academy approved Instructors
