How does the user get their passwords?

A user's date of birth is used to validate their identity. Users will not be able to collect their passwords if the UIS database, Jackdaw, does not have their correct date of birth. To add or correct details of a pre-arrival registration request that has already been submitted complete a new pre-arrival request or email .

Immediate start date, or no start date supplied

For requests submitted on working days, in working hours, passwords will normally be available for collection the next day. The new user will need to visit the signup page and quote their registration code. Note that this page can only be accessed from a system on the CUDN.

With a future start date

Accounts will be created so that passwords are ready for collection about a week before the start date. Note that the  signup page can only be accessed from a system on the CUDN.

If the user arrives before the expected start date

If a user arrives unexpectedly early, and the accounts have not yet been created, it is best to submit a new pre-arrival request with a new or blank start date.
