Adding a shared Exchange Online mailbox to Apple Mail for iOS

You can add a shared Exchange Online mailbox to your Mail app on Apple iOS devices.

Go to 'Settings' iOS Settings icon and tap 'Passwords & Accounts' in the left-hand menu, then tap 'Add Mail Account'.

Select 'Other' from the list of account providers.

Fill out the 'New Account' page as follows:

Name: [Give the shared mailbox a name]
Email: [The email address of the shared mailbox]
Password: [Your UIS password]
Description: [A description of the mailbox]

Then tap 'Next'.

In the next 'New Account' page, tap the 'IMAP' tab and enter the following details:

Incoming Mail Server

Hostname: outlook.office365.com
Username: [Your CRSid]@cam.ac.uk\[email address of shared mailbox]
Password: [Your UIS password]

Outgoing Mail Server

Hostname: smtp.office365.com
Username: [Your CRSid]@cam.ac.uk
Password: [Your UIS password]

Then tap 'Next'.

Select 'Mail' (and 'Notes', if required) and tap 'Save'.

Your shared mailbox should now appear under 'Accounts' in the 'Passwords & Accounts' section.

When you open your 'Mail' app, the shared mailbox will appear alongside your other mailboxes.
