Locating the filespace remotely
When accessing your DS filespace, you can use a number of methods. You can work on your Web pages on another computer and then transfer them to the DS filespace.
- DS-Files can be accessed within a web browser by navigating to https://dsfiles.ds.cam.ac.uk/ and entering your Raven credentials.
- CIFS access (only from within the CUDN or using the VPDN) mounts your group filespace on your desktop. The web pages at http://www.uis.cam.ac.uk/online-help/devices-networks-printing/managed-desktops/ds-filestore/cifs give instructions, depending on the operating system of your computer.
- sftp access is by logging in to sftp.ds.cam.ac.uk, using your DS username and password. You will be logged into your personal filespace. To get to the group directories, go to
/ux/groups/
- ssh access to the Remote Linux service -
ssh
tolinux.ds.cam.ac.uk
andcd
to/ux/groups/
