Temporary tickets

Tickets enable visitors to the University (e.g. academic visitors, conference guests) to be given temporary access to the University of Cambridge Wireless Service so that they can use their wireless laptops while they are in Cambridge.

Tickets provide a ticket-id and a password, which can be used as an alternative to Raven for authentication at the beginning of a session. Each ticket has a limited duration, fixed when the ticket is issued. Passwords for tickets cannot be changed. The page Tickets - Technical information is an introduction for those wishing to issue tickets.

Note that tickets are intended to be short-term; academic visitors staying in Cambridge for more than a month should normally obtain a Raven password rather than using the ticketing system.
