Videocamera hire service

For University members without their own recording kit, UIS has a professional quality videocamera kit available to hire at £100/week

Videocamera kit contents

The UIS loan kit comes in a heavy-duty case, and contains:

  • 1 x JVC GY-HM200E video camera
  • 2 x 128Gb SDXC cards
  • 1 x SDXC card reader
  • 1 x Sennhieser radio microphone transmitter/receiver pair
  • 1 x network interface
  • 1 x tripod

 

Booking information

Charges

Kit hire is charged at £100 per week (plus VAT, where applicable).

Technical support

Limited support is available on request at £72 per hour (plus VAT, where applicable).

How to book

To book, please email  with details of your booking request, including:

  • collection date and time
  • return date
  • ID of member of staff collecting the kit

Payment

Please arrange for a purchase order made out to UIS to be sent to  once your booking is confirmed.

Equipment collection

A member of staff is required to collect the kit. They will need to present their University card on collection. A member of SMS Support will then go through the equipment checklist with them and require a signature before the equipment can be taken away.

Equipment return

Equipment can be returned during UIS reception opening hours. It is the borrowers responsibility to ensure that the equipment is returned by the agreed return date in fully working order, if this is not the case additional costs will be incurred.
