CHRIS, Employee Self-Service (ESS), the University Payment System and other HR systems will be unavailable all day on Thursday 25 June while we install the latest upgrade to the CHRIS system.
Panopto lecture capture planned maintenance on Saturday 27 June
The Panopto Lecture Capture Cloud service will be undergoing an upgrade from 22:00 on Saturday 27 June 2020 and will be unavailable for up to 3 hours.
Wireless Service unavailable 07:30–09:00 Thursday 25 June
The University Wireless Service will be unavailable for periods between 07:30 and 09:00 on Thursday 25 June while we carry out urgent work to expand capacity. Connections to eduroam and UniOfCam will be interrupted during this work.
Beware fake NHS 'Test and Trace' text messages
Please be aware that University staff are receiving fake text messages purporting to be from the NHS coronavirus test and trace service recently announced by the UK Government.

University Information Services (UIS) has negotiated a framework agreement for the provision of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
End of Gartner licence: 31 May 2020
UIS is ending the subscription to Gartner. Our licence to the Gartner Research database will expire on 31 May 2020. Please ensure you have deleted any downloaded or printed Gartner materials as soon as possible after that date.

Sign-in issues with G Suite@Cambridge accounts
Some users have reported sign in issues when using G Suite@Cambridge applications from home. This is because Google notes the location and device used for signing in and flags unusual usage for additional verification. This helps guard against unauthorised usage of G Suite@Cambridge services and access to sensitive information stored in files and documents.
Beware phishing scams: criminals are exploiting the Covid-19 crisis
A number of agencies including the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and Europol renewed warnings of Covid-19 related cyberattacks as significant and expected to increase against organisations and individuals.
