VPN certificate replaced December 2019

last modified Jan 02, 2020 02:45 PM
VPN users may need to configure and update to use the new VPN certificate.

The SSL certificate for the main UIS VPN service vpn.uis.cam.ac.uk was replaced on 12 December 2019. The new certificate is valid for the next 12 months.

Most clients (Windows and Mac in the default configurations) will be unaffected by this change. Some clients have been configured to use a local copy of the certificate (this is the default for Linux clients including the stock Android client). These will need to have their configuration updated to use the new certificate. You can download the new certificate from the webpage: https://help.uis.cam.ac.uk/service/network-services/remote-access/uis-vpn/generic

Please contact our Service Desk   if you have any queries relating to the new certificate.
