Line cards on the UDN distribution routers will be restarted on the following dates in April 2021 so that we can reconfigure a port operating mode in preparation for the UDN 40GE backbone upgrade.

  • Wednesday 14 April: dist-hosp / dist-north / dist-oadd
  • Tuesday 20 April: dist-clin / dist-mwest / dist-nms
  • Wednesday 21 April: dist-sidg / dist south / dist-down
  • Thursday 22 April: dist-opress

Each restart will take about 15 minutes. During this period, institutions connecting to these routers will lose redundancy. We expect the first router will restart around 07:15 and the next router will not restart until back-up and redundancy has been restored on the previous one. The combinations of routers should typically not result in a single institution losing both connections on the same day.
