Introducing My DS-Print: secure online access to your DS-Print account

Now you can manage your DS-Print account online, via UIS’s new secure portal. ‘My DS-Print’ allows you to check your balance, apply top-ups with a credit or debit card, and search your transaction history. The secure service also uses Raven authentication, giving you peace of mind and a one-stop shop via a single login.

DS-Print just became more convenient

The self-service print, photocopy and scanning service DS-Print is immensely popular, with a network of more than 150 multi-function devices (MFDs) in a growing number of locations across the University. Payment for the service is managed via a prepaid credit balance – either the Common Balance scheme supported by the majority of institutions, or an institution-specific local balance.


Until now, users had to visit two separate websites to check their balance and top-up their credit, and had no way of seeing a list of their transactions. In response to growing demand, we’ve introduced a secure online portal that provides all of this functionality under one, Raven-authenticated roof: ‘My DS-Print’.

View your account balance, apply credit and search your transactions

Once you’ve logged into My DS-Print, you’ll be able to view a summary of your Common Balance and any local institutional balances. You'll also be able to add credit to your Common Balance using a debit or credit card, up to a maximum balance of £30.

My DS-Print also allows you to search through your transaction history, including your print, photocopy and scanning transactions as well as top-ups. You can customise your history view by defining the time period and adjusting the level of detail, and export the result as a downloadable file.

"We’re really pleased to offer this new secure online tool for DS-Print users," said Kelvin Morgan, Service Manager. "It combines previously disparate functions, and even offers some new ones. It should make using the service much easier!". The DS-Print team and Kelvin are looking to add more features to the service to make it even more convenient – such as supporting printing from Apple iOS and Android devices – watch this space!
