Eduroam public certificate changeover

last modified Dec 23, 2020 12:21 PM
The public certificate for eduroam wireless will be updated on 7 January 2021

Important note: If you use the local wireless CA method of authentication, which is configured by the use of the eduroam CAT, this notice does not affect you so it can be ignored.

The public (well-known) CA-signed certificate for the eduroam wireless service will be updated to a new one at 08:00 on Thursday, 7 January 2021.

If you make use of this certificate, you may be prompted to authorise the new certificate if you connect to eduroam after this time (which will include re-connecting). This is likely to be where you have selected eduroam from the list of available WiFi networks and entered your username and token, rather than by using the recommended process, published on our website.
