The registration form is changing to allow CRSid-only requests

CRSids are now required to issue a University Card. From Tuesday 22 November, you can use the UIS Registration Form to request a CRSid only, without the associated IT accounts for people who only need a University Card for access.

Along with this new functionality, there are several enhancements that make the form easier to use and reduce the possibility for errors during data entry.

Major changes

The most notable changes to be aware of are:

  • A new Standing of 'Other': use this to request a CRSid only.
  • Selecting the 'Other' Standing deactivates the 'Accounts' checkboxes so that only a CRSid is created.
  • 'Date of Birth' is now required.
  • 'Leaving Date' has been re-named to 'Review Date' which more accurately reflects how this information is used, that is, it alerts UIS that the accounts are due for review to see if they are still required.
  • A Review Date of up to 3 years is required for college members and Academic Visitors.

Other changes

A complete list of the changes is available on the UIS website. There is also a quick reference guide (PDF) available for download.
