Introduction to the scheme

Staff pre-arrival registration allows Colleges and Departments to tell the UIS about incoming staff and academic visitors and have their CRSid and Raven account and, optionally, their Hermes and Desktop Services accounts, set up before arrival. Passwords can be collected via a web form as soon as the new member of staff or academic visitor arrives or, for unexpected arrivals, very shortly after arrival.

Note that all incoming University staff are issued with CRSids and Raven accounts as soon as their details are received on the datafeed from the University HR system, CHRIS.

This registration scheme is for University and College staff (including Fellows) and academic visitors. It is not for students, who have their own registration scheme.

There is a Raven-protected web form for registering and reviewing pre-arrival registrations.

'IT matters @ Cambridge' (for Staff and Academic visitors) contains information for new users including how to collect the passwords. Printed copies are available from  and a pdf is available.

You can also use the pre-arrival registration scheme to update the end date of any staff or visitor CRSids.
