Exchange Online email and calendars

The Exchange Online groupware service (email, calendars, contacts, notes) is available to all University students and almost all staff. It gives access to email and other groupware functions via a web interface and various clients. The web interface makes it accessible from any internet-connected system in the world with a modern browser.

Exchange Online for students, and eligible staff

All University students and staff, and staff from those non-University institutions that are part of the University's EES Agreement can self-migrate their personal (but not shared) Hermes email accounts to Exchange Online, if they wish to do so.

Exchange Online for Institutions

Following a pilot programme to migrate UIS to Exchange Online in early 2017, the option to migrate is now available to other Institutions covered under the University's EES Agreement.

Although the software licences are available at no cost, note that the migration is likely to require some expenditure by your institution – primarily in manpower for assisting your users with the necessary changes on their various networked devices.
