17.00–19.00 is not normally used for non-urgent work that might disrupt a significant part of the CUDN.

Holiday closures

Information Services will be closed for the following holiday periods during 2016/7:

New Year
Monday 2 January 2017
Friday 14 April and Monday 17 April 2017
Early May Bank Holiday Monday 1 May 2017 (closed to personal callers)
Spring Bank Holiday Monday 29 May 2017 (closed to personal callers)

Unattended operation

When a service is running unattended, if it should fail, the service might not be reinstated until the next period of attended operation. In practice, staff monitor services from time to time outside normal working hours and are often able to reinstate them, but this can not be relied upon
