Introduction

Use of Drupal at Cambridge

The main Cambridge University website www.cam.ac.uk is powered by Drupal. In addition, some of the colleges and a variety of faculties and departments are already using Drupal to power their websites of different shapes and sizes.

A Drupal theme for the Cambridge Project Light house style has been implemented and a link to download the theme is available in the sidebar in the "related links" section.

The Drupal technical team within the UIS provide two install profiles, which are a standardised set of modules and configurations designed to help set up a Drupal website for a college, department, faculty or group to give them an almost fully functioning website with just a couple of clicks. Links to both versions of the Profile are available in the sidebar in the "related links" section. The Cambridge Project Light Drupal theme is included as part of both versions of the profile.

There is a growing Drupal community present at Cambridge University spread widely across the institution. There is a Cambridge specific Drupal mailing list that interested parties can subscribe to to be kept up-to-date with new releases of the Cambridge theme and profiles as well as any important Drupal news. A link to the mailing list is in the sidebar in the "related links" section.
