When you leave employment in the UAS please follow these steps:
Inform as many of e-mail contacts as possible that your account will not be an appropriate contact point in future. Provide them with new contact details. Personal correspondents should, as far as possible, been informed not to use the admin e-mail address past your departure date.
If appropriate, set up e-mail delegation to allow access for particular people in your section to monitor work related e-mails that arrive after your departure date. Please be aware that any personal e-mails arriving after your departure date could be accessed by whoever you grant delegation rights to.
Transfer all work-related documents stored on your personal drive (M:\) or on any CDs or USB Keys to either a division or section drive where it can be accessed by your colleagues, or to a suitable person in your section.
On your day of departure, set Out of Office to run. The message should state that your address is no longer in use, and should include details of a new contact in your section for work-related matters.
