Here are a few tips to streamlining your use of the Administrative Computing Network:
Try not to put files on your Desktop - this may push you over your profile storage limit. If you prefer to have files and folders on your desktop, try to use shortcuts instead. Shortcuts take up almost no space, and can be pointed at files within your 'My Documents' space.
Never disclose your password or write it down such that it could be compromised, Genuine UIS staff will never ask you for your password. We have the ability to change most aspects of your account using our own credentials. We can also reset your password with your permissions, should we need to log in as you.
If you receive an email asking for any personal details, and you are not sure it is genuine, please contact us for advice. This also allows us to alert other users if an email appears to be widespread.
