FAQ: Can I still access my EndNote Web (myendnoteweb) account after I leave Cambridge?

The basic version of EndNote Web (EndNote Online) is free to anyone and your access to your references will not be affected, but you will no longer be able to reset your password via an email sent to your @cam address.

Update the email address associated with your EndNote Web account

You can update the email address which is used for login to myendnoteweb by logging in and clicking on the user icon in the top right corner of the screen.

Click the Account icon to go to your account details and you will then be able to change your email address to one which you will still be able to access.

If you have been using your Raven credentials as an alternative method of authenticating to login you might find you need to clear your browsing history to force your browser to use the email/password combination instead.

Continued Web of Science access

Access to Web of Science, which is associated with EndNote Web, will persist for a while but will eventually disappear as this is a subscription-only database.

Access to more than the basic four citation styles will also eventually disappear, as this is linked to the Web of Science subscription.

Transferring to another institution

If you transfer to another institution with a subscription to Web of Science you should be able to regain access to both of these, but you may need to contact EndNote technical support in order for your affiliation to be transferred.

Making a backup

We recommend making a backup of your references by going to the Format menu and selecting Export References.

If you export the library as an RIS file you should be able to import it into another reference management program such as Mendeley or Zotero if you need to in the future.
