Headers in Outlook 2013

How to display the full email header information in Outlook 2013, in Windows. If you are reporting a security incident, the quickest way to provide all the information needed is to forward the original email as an attachment, which will include the full header information:

To forward an email including the full internet headers...

  1. Open the message in its own window.
  2. More > Forward as Attachment [Ctrl+Alt+F]:

Viewing the full internet header information

  1. Open Outlook 2013.

  2. Double click the message to open it:

  3. From the main menu, click File:

  4. In the Info section, click Properties:

  5. Copy the text in the Internet headers field - this is your message’s mail header information.
