Why have I stopped getting new email on my phone or tablet after I changed my password?

This is most likely to be because you have not updated the settings in your email program to use your new UIS Password.

 

When you use the UIS Password Management Application to change or reset your UIS Password (or your individual passwords for Raven, Hermes or Desktop Services), your password for Hermes will be included in the password change.

Mobile phones and tablets require you to include your Hermes password when you set up and configure your email application. Once your new UIS Password is active, some email programs and mobile devices will stop receiving new emails immediately, although many mobile devices will continue to get new mail until you quit your email application or its connection to the Hermes email server is closed.

Unless you have set your new UIS Password to be exactly the same as your old Hermes password, you must update the account settings in your email client to use your new UIS Password, otherwise you will stop receiving email on your mobile devices.

After changing or resetting your password, please allow up to 30 minutes for the changes to synchronise across all systems.
