IP services summary

This section includes information about UIS IP services. To be more specific, these are services that are necessary for the data network to operate, or provide additional services at the IP level.

IP addresses

This area contains information about IP subnets including which address ranges are used on the Cambridge University Data Network, local institution networks and IPv6.

DNS and IP register services

The area describes how you can use the DNS and IP Register services to manage your own DNS and IP names for your institution. 

DHCP service

The UIS operates a DHCP service to automatically allocated IP addresses to clients.
