Computer security

A major UK University has reported finding a keyboard key logger attached to a workstation in a lecture theatre.

Key loggers are used to capture account login and potentially credit card details.

They will resemble a memory stick in line with the keyboard cable.

Please perform a visual check of a computer that is new to you, particularly of any workstation in a public/semi-public area.

Please report anything suspicious to the UAS Service desk (Ext 32999).
